Radoslav Sretenović
Radoslav Sretenović was born on 24 February 1953 in Gornja Rečica. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Niš in 1977.
On 24 September 2007, Radoslav Sretenović was appointed by the National Audit Office, Chair of the National Audit Office Council and State Auditor General. He performed these functions until 2012.
Before his appointment to the mentioned functions, he served as a financial inspector in the Bookkeeping Control Service, Payroll Office in Niš, then as inspection advisor and senior assistant in the Foreign Exchange Division as well as Deputy Director of the Niš Affiliate. He underwent training in inspection and audit skills in the former Bookkeeping Control Service and within the Serbian Accountants and Auditors Association according to the ACCA programme implemented in London and Athens.
In September 2007 he was elected President of the State Audit Institution. At the same function he was re-elected on 25 September 2012.
He worked on banking and finance, auditing, banking, legal entities, auditing of the budget, public expenditures and capital assessment. At the time of election to the leading position of the State Audit Institution he was the senior leadership NBS branches in Nis.
In order to work on the inspection and audit activities, he gained an accomplishment in the former SDK. He passed all exams for the profession of auditor and certified auditor of the Association of Accountants and Auditors of Serbia. He also holds the title of auditor by the standards of the former Federal Ministry of Finance. He gained numerous certificates and professional licenses: Certified Public Accountant, internal auditor and certified auditor. In accordance with the Regulations on the programme and manner of taking the exam for the title of public finances adopted by the State Audit Institution, he gained the title of a certified state auditor.
He participated in numerous international meetings, seminars, workshops and round tables in the field of public sector audit in the organization of INTOSAI and EUROSAI. He is the manager of the project "Strengthening accountability mechanisms in public finances" within UNDP. Furthermore he has received numerous awards and recognitions in the accounting profession. He speaks Russian. He is married and father of two adult children.
