About the Masters Course

After completing graduate academic -Master's course at the Faculty of Economics in Nis and defending Master's thesis, one attains the academic degree of MSc in Economics.

The study programme Economics of the graduate academic (Master's course), is intended for the students who, after completing undergraduate studies, wish to continue their education in order to acquire new and broaden existing knowledge in general economics; accounting, auditing and financial management; finance, banking and insurance; management or international business.

  • The module General Economics is intended for the students who wish to broaden their knowledge in macro and microeconomic analysis and become trained for dealing with issues of economic development.
  • The module Accounting, Auditing and Financial Management is intended for the students who wish to work at highly qualified positions in the area of accounting, auditing and financial management in all the economic sectors as well as on the application of accounting information for enterprise management and other profit and non-profit organizations.
  • The module Finance, Banking and Insurance provides high-quality knowledge in the area of public finance, monetary theory and policy, functioning of financial institutions, markets and instruments.
  • The module Enterprise Management is conceived in the way to contribute to deeper systematic examination of management issues and promotion of knowledge, quality and innovativeness, thus enabling the creation of the core of highly qualified cadre capable of managing enterprises efficiently and effectively (large, as well as small and medium enterprises, regardless of a branch of the economy, in both private and public sector).
  • The purpose of the module Marketing is to broaden the knowledge and competence in the area of marketing, strategic management, management and creative business decision making for the management of market-oriented enterprises.
  • The module International Management is conceived in the way to enable further acquisition and broadening of knowledge in the area of general economics and specific managerial and organizational knowledge in the area of business activities involving foreign countries.
  • The module Tourism Management enables the broadening of quantitative and qualitative knowledge in the area of tourism as well as of activities which directly and indirectly take part in tourism development.
